Mokcik been busy. Preparing for the upcoming conference is taxing. Apa taknya this is my first experience in handling one. Luckily, i got a very able and competent Accommodation officer who has to deal with the hotel. After we settle this hurdle, then the rest will be easy.
Finding a hotel at this time of the year and at such a short period is a problem. After much persuasion, big boss relented and agreed to our plan to have the conference in Penang. The MUST HAVE criteria given.. "A GOOD HOTEL WITH A GOOD FOOD". We scouted around a few hotels around Batu Ferringhi.. Yang itu mahal sangat... yang ini cukup bajet, tapi tak ada kekosongan function room pulak masa yang kami nak ke sana. Hotel yang ini dah cukup cantik, dalam bajet, tapi bilik pulak tak cukup. Hotel yang ini dah okay..dan kami memang dah hampir2 nak ke sana, tapi orang yang kita nak deal tu being difficult pulak...payah benor nak beri apa yang kami nak..
Until yesterday, we are yet to confirm which hotel we wanna stay..
"You dont have much time left. You better make up your mind now. Which hotel is it now???"
"Yeah.. i did not chose Penang. All of You chose to go there yaa..hurry up.."
Ya la boss...kami memang pilih Penang..tapi masalahnya hotel ni la...yang buat keputusan lambat sangat baru nak tergesa2 arahkan kami buat conference tu sapa suruh [Ni dalam hati jer...hahahaha]
Yesterday..finally, one of the hotel people who happened to come down to KL came to pay us a visit. Initially, they can give us room, but no function room..after much persuasion, [ lepas kena ugut kami nak pindah ke hotel sebelah dia] finally they managed to get us a function room.
alamak...need to attend a meeting..nanti i sambung yaa...tengok katun2 la dulu
